Environments Concept Board - Melting Ice

CRYOSPHERE.

Stage 2 textiles for fashion project. I took my initial inspiration from my winter walks while at home in lockdown 2.0. This led me to look into various frozen environments and investigate climate change and how it is affecting the earths ice caps. The concept of melting from a solid to liquid form allowed me to explore many textile techniques and materials while trying to capture it through my designs.

CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING *but make it grays*

Stage 2 textiles for fashion project working  with our first self directed brief.

'A WAY OUT' looks into my career prior to art school working in the construction industry as a civil/structural engineer.

'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS'

Stage 3 self directed fashion & textile project looking into feminine themes which stemmed from the social group 'ladies who lunch'.

'30539'

Stage 3 sustainable fashion project undertaken while studying abroad at the Hochschule Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hannover, Germany.

This project investigates issues within the current fashion industry and looks at ways in which we as new designers can tackle them through design and manufacturing processes such as  up-cycling and zero waste pattern cutting.
